From the moment you arrive, you’ll find Tranquility to be a warm and comfortable luxury vacation home, with its welcoming clean and freshly decorated appearance.  Unpack and begin exploring.  Look for the guest book in the living room.  It offers equipment operating instructions and services available to enhance your island experience.

Walk the stairs from the living room to the highest observation/captain’s watch on the island.  You’ll look with amazement at the Gulf of Mexico from above the treetops.  The birds-eye view of North Captiva Island will captivate your heart and mind with its one-of-a kind vista.  You’ll love to watch the famous Island sunsets from the air-conditioned comfort of the Captain’s Watch.

Tranquility is newly finished in white for light, with four walls of windows to highlight the panoramic view of lush vegetation and bird activity.  The home is built on three levels, with outdoor porches on the second and third levels.  It has three bedrooms with king or twin size beds and colorfully coordinated bedding to pamper our guests.  The three full bathrooms are also color coordinated and located on two of the living floors.  Fully carpeted rooms and stairways lead you comfortably through the three living levels.  Wall hangings reflect the island’s flora and fauna.

The kitchen is fully appointed with quality kitchenware and appliances, including a disposal, dishwasher and microwave oven.  A Weber Kettle barbeque will add an outdoor dimension to your meals.

The living room has a large television with DVD, VHS and Dish TV Satellite channels.  The “surround sound” flashing carousel CD player, cassette tape, AM and FM receivers produce your favorite “tunes”.

Your vacation home provides linens, beach towels, towels, paper towels, toilet paper and bathroom, dish & laundry soaps.

Tranquility’s landscaping is designed to incorporate the island vegetation and to integrate the grounds with the look of the wildlife preserve.

The four-mile long gulf beach is a short two to three minute walk on your private road, directly connecting you to the beach.  Beach walking, shelling and fishing are favorite Island activities.  Seasonal species make shelling and fishing productive throughout the year.  The island’s land turtles will fascinate you as they graze on the grasses and visit their tunnel homes on the Tranquility property and elsewhere around the island.
